J. M. Norwood has hit a home-run in this first book in the Cychaea Series. Lisa Chess and her high school friends are taken on an adventure of a lifetime, as their world collides with Heaven. An ancient religious prophecy is fulfilled throughout their latter high school years on into college. This prophecy will be depicted on the twelfth window in their place of worship after their adventure, which according to custom is left blank. This blank window is a representation of the unfinished relationship between God and humans. Parents will love this book as it encourages one to study, pray, be faithful to good friends, be obedient and lead good lives. The Twelfth Window is the first of a planned series of seven in the Cychaea Series. The writing of Norwood’s book has been inspired by such well known and trusted authors as C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien, and George Lucas.

Christians, if you are looking for fresh material to aide you in your daily walk with the Lord,Christian Manual is for you. It was written to extensively cover many different areas and aspects of ministry, thus preparing you to flow in God’s Ministry, to which He has called you, with excellence. The thesis behind Christian Manual is II Tiimothy 2:15 – “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
I like Christian Manual because it is comprehensive and quite felxible in its use for personal study, group study, or under a mentor. I highly recommend it for pastors and other church leaders as they strive to equip the body of Christ with biblical truths. You won’t be disappointed.

I don’t believe one is ever truly prepared for the death of one’s spouse. Author, Rev. Gwendolyn Phillips Coates after experiencing spiritual, emotional and mental turmoil after the death of her spouse, wrote this book to help and encourage others who are going through grief due to the death of their spouse. Coates encourages you to let the grieving process run its course through acceptance and a made up mind not to allow this tragic event to mark the end of life for you.
As an added touch to her book, Coates encourages husbands and wives to begin appreciating each other because none of us knows when our relationship will be broken by death. I strongly recomment Waiting on my Lunch Date to every married person.

There is a lot of talk about the Sudan and the suffering that is taking place. Award-winning author, DiAnn Mills, gives first-hand account of the terror that is taking place in the Sudan through her hit book. Mills believes her readers should “Expect an Adventure”, and an adventure is what you will get through the pages of When the Nile Runs Red. Her desire is to show characters solving real problems of today from a Christian perspective through a compelling story. This is avidly brought forth through this book as the worlds of her three main characters collide: Paul Farid, now converted to Christianity, once persecuted any Sudanese who practised Islam; Larson Farid, Paul’s wife and a doctor, is committed to the cause of peace; Colonel Ben Algier fights against the newly formed Sudanese government as he did the old government and its corruption in controling the oil, religion, slavery, and its politics. As relational tensions escalade, so does the physical danger. What will be the end of these three? I won’t tell you. Read and find out for yourself!

As concerned parents we want to teach our children life lessons and give them sound advice that will take them a long way in their life’s journey long after we are gone. But what if you don’t live out all your years? Mr. Kornegay, also a police officer, knows what it is like to have one’s life hanging on a string. He has had these same concerns and decided to do something about it. Thus he penned, Dear Rhonda.
This book is easily digested because of the letter format it is written in from a father to his daughter, and it is quite applicable to all daughters. It says exactly what you, as a father, want to say to your daughter but do not know how or where to begin. These loving letters cover such topics of concern as: relationships, love and marriage, decision making, dating, dealing with death, God, handling depression and much more. Genuine conversations between parents and children are strongly encouraged throughout the entire book, and this is something that is lacking in many households across these United States -communication between parents and their children.
Parents, this book will help guide you as you share real life issues with your daughters. It’s a book you and your daughter can read together and strengthen the parent/child bond between the both of you. I strongly recomment this book for any parent.

You will not put this book down until you read the last word. Ms. Michelle tells the truth about spiritual control, fornication in and outside the church, corrupt leadership in the church, relationships and more, drawing from her own life experiences. What I like about this book is, the author opens up her life to us and shares with us the many traumas (prison, spiritual rape, manipulation, abuse) she has been through. She leaves no stone unturned. Many of us cannot even begin to imagine such things taking place in a person’s life unless of course you have gone through it yourself. How did she survive such events in her life? Only by the grace of God. Ms. Michelle shows you how God can bring you out of any situation no matter how pitiful and how painful it may be. So, if you are struggling to make good choices about sex, relationships, friendships, and obeying God, this book is for you. You will come away knowing how to be a survivor.

Mr. Richard Emmel’s, Louisa, is destined to become a classic. It is a powerful moving story that is loosely based on the life of African-American poetess, Phillis Wheatley. Wheatley’s African name when translated into English proved to be a true translation. Although sold as a slave, and in a seemingly unfortunate situation, life for Louisa turned out to be a good one. God’s hand was upon her. She learned to read, write and speak English, a thing forbidden to slaves during that time. Louisa turned out to become one of America’s greatest poets. This book will inspire you to, inspite of what may be working against you, to strive for whatever you desire to become. Louisa is for all age groups, and parents, you will want to add this to your children’s library collection
